Leadership Cohort

The All for All Leadership Cohort began with a series of three workshops held in partnership with the Women & Girls Foundation and Carlow University in the Spring of 2018. The workshops provided tools to support emerging, as well as established immigrant community leaders. Participants received training in the fundamentals of advocacy, coalition building, and external communications.

what we learned

The curriculum for the leadership workshops was developed specifically for All for All and the immigrant community. Through the sessions, participants were encouraged to consider what motivates their leadership and dedication to their communities. The goal was to help them better understand themselves and their interactions with others for more effective leadership.

strength deployment inventory

The curriculum incorporated use of a leadership development tool; The Strength Deployment Inventory (SDI), administered by Dr. Janice McCall of Carlow University. The SDI curriculum encouraged participants to think beyond behaviors to consider what motivates their leadership and dedication to their community.
