Past Workshops:

Connecting diverse healthcare professionals

At our inaugural workshop, we heard remarks from our guest speaker, Kheir Mugwaneza from the Allegheny Health Network (AHN). Attendees had the opportunity to engage in a dialogue with a panel of community organization representatives who talked about the region’s immigrant and refugee communities and the resources available to them.

cultural awareness in healthcare systems

Based on community interest, this session focused on cultural awareness in health systems. We gained insight from a panel of community members and healthcare professionals. Attendees left the meeting with tangible ideas on how to move forward in making healthcare experiences more accessible for all Pittsburghers.

This session focused on the intricacies of the U.S. healthcare system and how to navigate it. We had a comprehensive presentation from the Consumer Health Coalition.
