All for all partners with the pittsburgh branch of the whitetulip health foundation to run the diverse healthcare professionals network.

The Diverse Healthcare Professionals Network hosts quarterly meetings on topics related to working in the American healthcare system as an immigrant or person of color. In addition to quarterly workshops, Whitetulip hosts mentoring opportunities for aspiring healthcare professionals.

Connecting diverse healthcare professionals

At our inaugural workshop, we heard remarks from our guest speaker, Kheir Mugwaneza from the Allegheny Health Network (AHN). Attendees had the opportunity to engage in a dialogue with a panel of community organization representatives who talked about the region’s immigrant and refugee communities and the resources available to them.

Based on community interest, this session focused on cultural awareness in health systems. We gained insight from a panel of community members and healthcare professionals. Attendees left the meeting with tangible ideas on how to move forward in making healthcare experiences more accessible for all Pittsburghers.
